Lorraine Kelly plunged in to darkness as power cut hits live broadcast… and she blames Piers Morgan
The presenter managed to see the funny side of it all
LORRAINE Kelly’s studio was plunged into darkness this morning when a power cut hit when she was live on air.
The presenter was interviewing Nick Knowles about DIY SOS when they had their own SOS as the lights went out.

Breaking into giggles as they sat in the dark, Lorraine said: “Oh! Sorry about that! Could you get one of you builders?”
As the lights came back on Lorraine erupted into laughter and Nick was seen glancing around the studio looking worried.
As the sudden blackness was unexplained, Nick had a theory, blaming Piers Morgan who had been in the studio presenting Good Morning Britain just minutes before.

He said: “I think that was Piers leaving the building - he has that effect.”
To which Lorraine giggled back: “It’s usually lightening and people crying in the corners.”
Well maybe that’s the reason behind this terrible weather recently…
