Phillip Schofield reveals This Morning studio is flooding due to torrential rain
The ITV show required a number of buckets to catch the water running into the studio on today's show
PHILLIP Schofield revealed the This Morning studio was flooding on today's show.
After London was hit by a torrential downpour, the presenter showed viewers how the studio had suffered as a consequence.
After his mic started malfunctioning, Phil blamed the rain, then got up from his seat and headed over towards the back of the blue sofa.
He said: "Let me show you something" which led to co-host Holly Willoughby saying: "Oh no, don't out us!"
But as Phil looked round the back of the sofa, he said: "Oh no they've moved them! They've moved the buckets!
"There were three buckets on the other side of that pillar down there but because it made a noise during that chat, they've taken them out."
As Holly said she imagined there would now be a "big puddle" on the floor, Phil reported back: "It's absolutely sodden down here, so maybe it's a bit of rain that's got in my mic."
Holly joked: "You know it's bad when it's raining indoors".
Thankfully the weather was better for the pair yesterday when they were practising for the show's forthcoming live wedding.
In April the pair made a public plea for couples looking to say "I do" in front of the nation, later revealing Sonia Keating and Paul Brough - a couple who met at school - were going to be their programme's bride and groom.
Speaking after the programme, the presenters explained they met at nursery as toddlers but when Paul was diagnosed with MS, their hopes of getting married were put on hold.
The pair had no idea that they were the lucky couple until Holly and Phil told them that they had been selected - prompting the pair of them to burst in to tears.
But just because it's a TV wedding doesn't mean there's no dress rehearsal, and today Holly and Phil were seen looking more glam than normal as they worked with a camera team near their Southbank studios.
Holly looked sensational in a mottled dress with a baby pink duster coat - and Phil managed to coordinate perfectly with a pocket square in the same hue.
It'll be the second time there's been a special day broadcast live on the daytime show.
