ASAP Rocky is a controversial rapper who is no stranger to making headlines after dating Kendall Jenner.
From leaked sex tapes to assault convictions to spending time behind bars, the Praise The Lord hit-maker is almost as famous for his personal life as he is his music.
Who is ASAP Rocky?
ASAP Rocky is an American rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, and is part of the hip hop collective ASAP Mob.
He shot to fame in 2011 after releasing his debut mixtape Live. Love. ASAP to critical acclaim.
In 2018, he teamed up with grime icon Skepta to release the song Praise the Lord (Da Shine) which was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America.
ASAP also produces music under the pseudonym Lord Flacko.
Since being catapulted into the spotlight, he has been linked romantically to several A list celebrities including Kendall Jenner, Iggy Azalea, Rihanna, Rita Ora and Chanel Iman.
Was ASAP Rocky's sex tape leaked on Porn Hub?
ASAP's alleged sex tape was leaked online in December 2019.
Unfortunately for the rapper, he was trolled after the footage was released by fans branding his reported sexual prowess "disappointing".
One hater tweeted: “Just saw Asap Rocky’s sex tape and it was super duper wack.
“Don’t even waste your time looking for it. His stroke is weak.”

Responding to the criticism, ASAP took to Twitter and made light of the tape - without confirming if it was really him in the footage.

When did ASAP Rocky date Kendall Jenner?
The Sun revealed that Kendall was dating ASAP Rocky in April 2017, but they were first snapped partying together in Paris during that summer.
A source revealed: “Kendall and ASAP Rocky went to the Royal Albert Hall and made no secret of the fact they are a couple. There was a lot of touching going on. It wasn’t the behaviour of two people who are just friends. Kendall seems very into him.”
The couple confirmed their relationship in May by posting a very sexy Snapchat together.
However, the 21-year-old and the rapper just dated over the summer of 2017 until their conflicting schedules got in the way of their romance.

Was ASAP Rocky found guilty of assault?
Yes! The rapper and his co-defendants had been found guilty of assault following a Stockholm fight.
However, ASAP Rocky was given a suspended sentence and ordered to pay damages to the victim.
A court statement, read: "The assault has not been of such a serious nature that a prison sentence must be chosen.
"The defendants are therefore sentenced to conditional sentences."
ASAP and two members of his entourage, Bladimir Corniel and David Rispers, claimed to have acted in self-defence against two men who had been following their group.
Yet, the court said the three were "not in a situation where they were entitled to self-defence."
The 30-year-old rapper was arrested on July 3, 2019 on suspicion of assault after a video emerged showing him throwing a "pest" to the ground.
The shocking brawl footage - published in the US - was filmed in Stockholm and shows the Harlem-born star grabbing the man and tossing him several feet onto the street.
The star's pals and minders are then seen kicking and punching the "victim" as he struggles to stagger back to his feet outside a burger bar.
They then walkway with the man left lying in the gutter.
According to reports in Sweden, cops have spoken to the man who was left with cuts on both his arms.
ASAP - real name Rakim Meyers - was reportedly arrested at 1am that morning by officers in Sweden.
He returned home to the USA on Saturday, August 3, 2019 after a judge said he need not remain in custody or the country ahead of his sentencing on August 14.
ASAP and his fellow accused pleaded not guilty to assault and claimed they acted out of self-defence.
However, Prosecutor Daniel Suneson told the Stockholm District Court the actions of the three accused could not be seen as self-defence as he demanded a six-month prison sentence.
He said: "We have three people who throw out punches and kicks against a person who is lying down. Their violence is clearly indefensible."
When was ASAP Rocky released from jail?
ASAP was charged with assault causing actual bodily harm in Sweden but was released from prison in August, 2019.
President Donald Trump shared a tweet to announce he had been freed, with him writing: "ASAP Rocky released from prison and on his way home to the United States from Sweden. It was a Rocky Week, get home ASAP ASAP!"
The star pleaded not guilty to assault and his trial started on July 30 in Stockholm.
ASAP was arrested in Stockholm in early July. The two men arrested alongside him were also been charged with assault.
His arrest followed a fight that was captured on video, with ASAP claiming he had acted in self-defence against men who were following his group.
He told the court: "After a while, my security guard started pushing him away, begging him to leave.
"Me and my crew told them that, listen, don't go where we are going, go the other way, we don't want any trouble."
He added: "I assumed that these guys were under the influence of some kind of drug."
If ASAP was found guilty of his charges he faced up to two years behind bars.
On August 5, it was announced by organisers for the Real Street Festival that ASAP was set to grace the stage and perform at the event, which took place at Honda Center Grounds in Anaheim, California on August 11.
The show was ASAP's last performance before he heard the verdict in relation to the assault trial.
“We are elated that Rocky is finally coming home and will be taking the stage to headline our first Real Street Fest this weekend, as originally planned," Doc Wynter, Executive Vice President of Urban/Hip Hop at iHeartMedia said at the time of the announcement.
"In the interim, Godspeed to Rocky and his family. We can’t wait to hear the crowd erupt for Rocky this Sunday night at The Honda Center Festival Grounds!”
Did Donald Trump help get ASAP Rocky released from prison?
The President of the United States spoke to Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Löfven about ASAP Rocky's case.
Following their discussion, Donald Trump shared a tweet, which read: "Just had a very good call with @SwedishPM Stefan Löfven who assured me that American citizen ASAP Rocky will be treated fairly.
"Likewise, I assured him that ASAP was not a flight risk and offered to personally vouch for his bail, or an alternative."
However, it was later claimed Trump's bid to free ASAP Rocky could backfire, because Swedish prosecutors want to prove they're immune to political pressure.
A spokesperson for Lofven said the case "underlined that in Sweden everyone is equal before the law and that the government cannot and will not attempt to influence the legal proceedings."
ASAP's plight was brought to the president's attention by several people, including the first lady Melania Trump, and Kim Kardashian West.
Also, his case has garnered huge attention thanks to celebrities such as Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, Jada Pinkett Smith, Nicki Minaj and Post Malone.
Did ASAP Rocky perform at Wireless after being arrested?
No he did not, as Swedish authorities detained ASAP on suspicion of assault.
This evidently meant that the rapper had to pull out of his festival appearance on Sunday, June 7.
It was further added that ASAP would remain in custody in Stockholm while an investigation took place.
Wireless issued this statement: "We now know for sure that ASAP Rocky won’t be able to make his set tomorrow. We’ve been busy making calls….and now we’re hyped to say London’s J HUS is joining the line-up and Rae Sremmurd will close the show."
What tattoos does ASAP Rocky have?
To date, ASAP has nine tattoos in total.
On his right knee, the rapper has an inking of a cross. Just above that, the word "dare" is inked on to of his knee with "if not now then when" slightly higher up on his leg.
Behind his left ear, he has the VLONE logo inked, which is a streetwear brand he found with close pal ASAP K.
Across his stomach, he has "ASAP Life" tattooed
In addition, ASAP has several tattoos on his leg including an anarchy symbol above the word spelt out just above his knee with a pirate inking below it.

What do we know about ASAP Rocky's family?
ASAP grew up in Harlem with his older sister, older brother, Barbadian father and African-American mum.
When he was just 12-years-old his father was jailed in connection with selling drugs.
His older brother was killed in the borough when ASAP was 13, inspiring him to take rapping more seriously. A year before, his dad also died.
He ended up selling crack in the Bronx at the age of 15 when he moved around homeless shelters with his mum and sister.
Eventually he moved to midtown Manhattan.
