Cara de la Hoyde shares first baby scan and gushing tribute to ex Nathan Massey a year after they won Love Island
The reality star discovered she was pregnant the month after she split from Nathan
LOVE Island star Cara De La Hoyde has shared a photo of her baby scan as she prepares to watch the new set of contestants enter the villa she met her baby daddy in.
The star – who won last year’s show with her now ex-boyfriend Nathan Massey – revealed she was pregnant shortly after the pair split after a whirlwind eight month romance.
Despite the pair no longer being together, she told her fans that the baby was “the greatest gift she could’ve ever won” with Nathan, as she prepares for life as a single mum.
In a heart-warming post she wrote: “Last year I won with an amazing person and although things may not be quite where we imagined them to be, we have been given the greatest gift we could have ever won.”

She then reassured the new contestants and said: “Good luck tonight to all the new islanders I hope you enjoy it as much as we did and let's find a worthy winning couple to pass our crowns on to 👑❤️🌴" she wrote.
The star added: "me and bump will be watching 9pm 😘 'it's gonna be a long hot summer'”.
It was just in May this year that Cara discovered she was pregnant - having split with Nathan in April.
Cara insisted they had no plans to reconcile despite the impending arrival – but carpenter Nathan has vowed to support her every step of the way when the baby arrives.
The former Towie star told : “It’s a shame and a sad situation. I know a lot of people will think, well you’re going to have a baby together so just stay together – but we’re not going to do that just to look like the perfect couple."
The couple split in April after a string of "silly rows", as exclusively revealed by The Sun's Bizarre column.
A source said: “They’ve both mutually agreed to call it quits. It hasn’t been an easy decision but in the end they decided things would be better apart.
“They stayed really amicable and will definitely do all they can to be friendly.”
Nathan had previously admitted that the pair had been arguing after moving in together.
He said: “There have been arguments. I’m not the easiest person to live with. But you forget we’ve only known each other for six months.”
