Usher defends his no-show at One Love Manchester after taking son, 9, to ‘diabetes camp’ instead
USHER has explained why he was absent at Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester benefit concert on Sunday night.
The 38-year-old dad-of-two had been billed as one of the performers expected to attend the star studded charity event organised by Ariana, 23.
However many were left disappointed when he did not appear during the three hour performance.
Usher has since explained that he wanted to be with his son – Usher Raymond V (also known as Cinco) – who was attending summer camp for children with diabetes.
Taking to social media on Monday, Usher revealed his reason for missing the concert.
“So happy to see that last night's concert in Manchester proved that love always prevails,” the star wrote on Instagram.
