Holly Willoughby is distraught as she hears horror story from London Bridge hero who fought off attackers during knife rampage
HOLLY Willoughby looked distraught as she met the London Bridge hero who bravely fought the attackers during a knife rampage on Saturday.
Gerard Vowles appeared on This Morning today to talk about the terrifying moment he found himself caught up in the terror attack and threw pint glasses, bottles and bar stools at the crazed jihadis.
Holly and her co-host Phillip Schofield both looked horrified as Gerard spoke about his experience during the terror attack.
He told the pair how he battled the attackers in a Borough Market pub just moments after they crashed a van on London Bridge and began attacking revellers with knives.
Gerard said the knifemen "didn't even look human".
He said: "There was hate in their eyes. I was throwing chairs, glasses... I was scared. I didn't want anyone to die."
Holly couldn't hide her horror as he described seeing the attackers wearing what appeared to be suicide belts.
But Gerard soon realised the devices were fake as he saw they were strapped on with duct tape.
