The documentary will be on BBC Two tonight (June 5) at 9pm. It will also be available on BBC iPlayer after it has aired on TV.
It will tell the story about how one of America's biggest came to face a criminal trial for sexual assault a decade after the accusations were made.
The documentary will include interviews with those who knew Cosby professionally and personally, such as Richard Pryor's widow Jennifer Lee Pryor and actor Joseph C Phillips, as well as accusers, fellow Cosby actor Lili Bernard, and former actor and Playboy Bunny Victoria Valentino.
Who is Bill Cosby?
Bill Cosby is a 79-year-old American stand-up comedian and presenter.
He began to pursue a career in comedy by lining up stand-up gigs in Philadelphia and then New York in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
After receiving national exposure through NBC's The Tonight Show, he received a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records and released a number of comedy albums.
He went onto star in espionage series I Spy in 1965 before heading many successful TV series - his most famous being The Cosby Show.
Cosby is married to Camille Hanks, who he has five children with.
What was Bill Cosby accused of?
Bill Cosby is facing a criminal trial on charges of drugging and sexually assaulting Andrea Constand, a Temple University women's basketball team manager, in his home in 2004.
As well as this, he's been accused by at least 60 women of drugging and assaulting them.
He denies all of the charges against him.
