Liam Gallagher buries the hatchet with ‘bunch of students’ Coldplay to perform Live Forever with Chris Martin at the Manchester One Love gig
Singers put insults behind them as they united in memory of those who lost their lives in the Manchester terror attack
LIAM Gallagher teamed up with Chris Martin to perform Live Forever at One Love Manchester tonight.
The pair haven’t always seen eye to eye, with Liam previously labelling Coldplay a “bunch of students” and comparing frontman Chris to a “geography teacher”.
On stage however, they came together to perform for the packed out crowd at the Old Trafford cricket ground.
Before the song started, Liam told the crowd: “Right, I want to dedicate this song to the beautiful people who were killed and injured in the Manchester terror attack.”
Liam stood front and centre during the performance as Chris played the guitar next to him.

As the song went on, Chris joined in as the crowd sang the poignant lyrics back at them.
Before he walked off stage, Liam threw his tambourine into the crowd.
He then walked back to the band and shook Chris' hand before pulling him in for a hug.
In the past Liam has made no secret of the disregard he has for Coldplay and their music.
During one interview, he said: “You ever get Chris Martin to look you in the eye?
“I’m sure he does put on a good gig, Chris Martin, the amount of money he gets paid. He looks like he’s in [kids TV show] The Tweenies though.
“The whole band look beyond s**t. Have they not seen any photos of The Rolling Stones? Probably not.”
While he did seem to calm with age, when asked about the band in interviews the rocker made it very clear he would probably never like them.
He said in 2008: “I’ve mellowed, but not in the sense of liking Radiohead or Coldplay… I don’t hate them, I don’t wish they had accidents.”
