Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield furious after plagues of mice and moths invade This Morning set
Presenters and crew have been advised not to eat on set or wear clothes made of natural fibres
PLAGUES of mice and moths have invaded the This Morning set.
Hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are furious at the infestation.
ITV bosses this week emailed staff after an inspection of the studios, which also host Good Morning Britain, fronted by Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid.
The message says “the mice are more intelligent than we first thought” and are ignoring traps. Presenters — who also include Lorraine Kelly and the Loose Women — and crew are urged not to eat on set.
And they are advised not to wear clothes made of natural fibres after moths laid eggs in a scarf and mohair jacket.

A source said: “Phil, Holly, Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are well aware of the situation and are not amused. They want it sorted out.”
In January, Holly told viewers a mouse had invaded the set and was teased about it by Phil.
The source added: “The problem is worse than ever at the moment.”
The studios on London’s South Bank close for redevelopment in 2018.
