David Beckham splits opinion after kissing daughter Harper, 5, on the lips
It comes a year after mum Victoria faced her own backlash after posting a similar picture
DAVID Beckham has divided opinion amongst his fans, after posting a cute picture of him kissing his daughter Harper on the lips.
The dad-of-four shared the adorable picture on his Instagram, but has left some followers unsure about the snap.
In the snap, Becks, 42, and Harper, 5, are seen sharing a kiss with a beautiful sunset behind them, with the caption: "Kiss for Daddy ❤️"
David is currently enjoying some a holiday in Africa with wife Victoria and his four children – Brooklyn, 18, Romeo, 14, Cruz, 12 and Harper.
Many of his fans thought the picture was adorable, with one fan saying: "Beautiful beautiful photo"
While this one added: "It's your baby girl kiss away 💋💋💋💋💋💋"
Another said: "How lovely it is to see a father and daughter so close"

But some fans were uncomfortable by the picture, with one saying: "On the lips??? what has the world come to"
Another added: "Not a good look"
While this one said: "Not sure about this picture"
Last year it was the turn of mum Victoria to spark a debate about whether it is appropriate to kiss your child on the lips.
It came after the former Spice Girl posted a picture of her kissing Harper on the little girl's birthday.
She captioned the image: "Happy Birthday baby girl. We all love you so much X @davidbeckham@brooklynbeckham kisses from mummy X."
At the time, social media users couldn't make up their mind whether the mother-daughter kiss was ok or not.
One wrote; ““It is strange to kiss your parents on the lips.We need to stop saying to other people it isn’t”
This one said: “Ew sorry I’m old fashioned it looks like they making out”
Another added: “Why tf are you kissing your daughter on the mouth”
But most fans leapt to the defence of the mum-of-four and fellow parents began posting their own kissing pictures to prove the point.
Gemma Hook wrote: “To all you haters out there, GROW UP! My children have always kissed me on the lips… and the arm, the forehead, the ear, the nose, the tummy the list could go on forever.
“To them it’s just a kiss not a romantic gesture and as a parent it’s our job to take that love unconditionally.
“You need to open your eyes and see the beauty in the love between a parent and child and not turn it into something it so clearly isn’t!”
Another added: “Beautiful photo, what is the world coming to when you can’t even kiss your own child on the lips! I always kiss my boys on the lips.”
