When was Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band released?
The four-time Grammy Award-winning album was released on May 26, 1967.
By releasing the compilation under the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band persona, The Beatles decided to experiment with their songs more experimentally.
Their eighth studio album was an immediate success, spending 27 weeks at the top of the UK albums charts.
Since it was released, the world-renowned album has been named in Rolling Stones' 500 Greatest Albums of All Time and it has been in the National Recording Registry in the Library Congress since 2003.
