Is Lacey Turner pregnant?
Lacey revealed she is pregnant with her first child following two devastating miscarriages with husband Matt Kay.
The couple - who married in September 2017 - shared their baby joy in the latest issue of OK! Magazine, with Lacey, 30, showing off her growing bump in a mustard yellow polka dot dress.
The star told the publication: "I can’t wait to nurture our baby – we’ve dreamed of having a family for so long.
"When you’ve lost babies all you care about is the heartbeat - we’ve had about 12 scans."
Lacey - who plays Stacey Fowler in the BBC One soap - has never spoken about her miscarriages, but admitted she had struggled to come to terms with what happened for a long time.
She said: "'It felt like my whole world had fallen to pieces and there’s nothing you can do apart from try and put it back together.
"I blamed myself thinking that I’d done something wrong. I’d think, why me? What did I do?
"But, of course, I hadn’t done anything wrong – it’s all down to chromosomes and luck, really."
Lacey told how speaking to other women who had miscarried helped her deal with her pain and thankfully, their unborn baby is healthy and due to arrive in mid-July, just a couple of months before their second wedding anniversary.
When was Lacey Turner's wedding?
Lacey and her long-term boyfriend Matt Kaye married in Ibiza in September 2017 after he got down on one knee in 2016 after ten years of dating.
She told OK! Magazine at the time: "The whole day was amazing and we felt so much love and it’s incredible; it’s something you’ve never felt before.”
The childhood sweethearts have been in a relationship since 2006 - Discussing falling for each other at such a young age, Matt said:
"It's so special that we met at such a young age.
"It doesn't happen for a lot of people and I feel very lucky to have Lace in my life and we’re lucky to have met when we did. I think it was meant to be.’
While Lacey added: “I just feel really lucky.”
Who is Lacey Turner?
Lacey Turner is a 30-year-old actress best known for her role as Stacey in EastEnders.
The star was born and raised in Edgware, Greater London, and she has two younger sisters.
Wanting to be an actress from an early age, she attended a year of Sylvia Young Theatre School but revealed she was bullied while studying there.
She started EastEnders in 2004 the day after finishing school.
As well as EastEnders, she was also the leading lady in the first series of Our Girl in 2014 but decided not to return for a second season.
She was replaced by Michelle Keegan.
How long has Lacey been on EastEnders?
Lacey joined the EastEnders cast in 2004 as the troublesome Stacey Slater.
During that time, she has been caught up in a string of hard-hitting storylines including being the culprit of a whodunnit surrounding the murder of the evil Archie Mitchell.
Her character has been married twice - once to Bradley Branning before he was killed off, and now currently to Martin Fowler.
She left the show in 2010 to pursue other projects, before returning in 2014.
On her return, Lacey was highly praised for tackling a postpartum psychosis plot following the birth of her son.
