Love Island host Caroline Flack is in a ‘brilliant place’ with a new man as she admits she took a year long relationship detox
The presenter, 37, is known for struggles in finding lasting romance
CAROLINE Flack has revealed she opted for a 12-month love detox after her last relationship crumbled.
The Love Island host - who is now back on the dating scene - decided "something had to change" after enduring a string of back-to-back boyfriends and failing to find lasting happiness.
The bubbly presenter, 37, is known for her struggle to find love and high-profile dates with stars including Harry Styles.
She was criticised for her romance with the pop heart-throb in 2011, then aged just 17.
And she revealed her heartache over being called Prince Harry's "bit of rough" after the pair grew close through mutual pal Natalie Pinkham.
After splitting with former flame British artist Blue Logan last January, she admitted "relationship rehab" was essential.
Caroline told : "I’ve actually only just started dating again, because I did a year-long relationship detox, which I started at the end of 2015.
"It wasn’t like I planned it or told people, I just woke up one morning and decided to give up for a month so I could focus on other things.
"Since my twenties I had moved from one relationship to the next. Never had I given myself time to heal.
"Something had to change. Essentially, I put myself into relationship rehab."

Yet after her self-imposed ban, things are looking brighter.
Caroline was reluctant to divulge details of her new man - the first after her love life re-vamp.
Yet she added to the magazine: "I’m dating again now – maybe I’ve already [met someone]… Let’s just say, I’m in a brilliant place."
Caroline is currently the leading lady of Love Island, and has been hosting proceedings for the show for the last two series.
In February this year, it was confirmed she had been secured for a third.
While hosting ITV2's Love Island last year she refused to give dating advice to contestants because of her own relationship history, saying: "I'm 35 and single ... I make the same mistakes."
The full interview appears in the July 2017 issue of Cosmopolitan, on sale June 1.
