What time is Ripper Street on BBC?
Episode six of the fifth season of the Amazon Prime show will return to BBC Two TONIGHT (July 24) at 9pm.
The show is set in Whitechapel in the East End of London in 1889, six months after the infamous Jack the Ripper murders.
Tonight's episode is up against DIY SOS on BBC One and Love Island on ITV2.
Amazon Prime users were able to view the full six episodes in October 2016.
Who is in the Ripper Street cast?
Matthew Macfadyen plays Detective Inspector Edmund Reid, who was a workaholic driven by his failure to capture Jack the Ripper.
While Jerome Flynn stars as Detective Inspector Bennet Drake who was Reid's right hand man before he took over from Reid and became commander of H Division.
The final lead role of Captain Homer Jackson is played by Adam Rothenberg. The former US Army surgeon is actually a fugitive from America named Matthew Judge and is H Division's forensic expert.
MyAnna Buring is also part of the show thanks to her role as "Long" Susan Hart, who has a son with Jackson.
While Charlenne McKenna plays Rose Drake is a prostitute in Long Susan's house that turned her light around to become a music hall singer.
Is this the last series of Ripper Street?
The fifth season is the final season of the show and has already aired on Amazon Prime.
The series follows on from the tragic ending of season four, which saw Susan forced to give up her child in order to fake her death and escape being hung for her crimes.
Picking up in in the summer of 1897 with Queen Victoria celebrating her diamond jubilee, Reid, who has retired from his detective work, finds himself drawn back to Whitechapel after discovering that an old friend is set to hang for a brutal murder he’s convinced he hasn’t committed.
