Don’t Tell The Bride will return on E4 with 18 episodes as bosses reveal hit wedding show will be bigger and better than ever

If your worst nightmare is having your husband-to-be planning your wedding day, then the new series of Don’t Tell The Bride will have your toes curling

DON’T Tell The Bride is returning to terrestrial TV after getting snapped up by Channel 4.

The Sun Online can exclusively reveal the hit TV show has been commissioned for 18 episodes on E4 and will air later this year.

Don’t Tell The Bride follows grooms as they are sent away from their fiancées for three weeks to plan their upcoming nuptials.

Everything from the venue to the bridesmaids shoes is on the groom’s to-do list and this time round, it’s going to be more explosive and emotional than ever.

A source told The Sun Online: “So much work has gone into making this series the best yet.

“There are some completely hopeless grooms who haven’t got a clue what they’re doing.

Previously whacky parts of the show have included a bride and groom ziplining into their ceremony

With a budget of £14,000 to spend – the blokes are let loose to try and create the perfect day for their partners.

But, as we well know, most of the ceremony’s don’t go to plan, with most brides left in floods of tears after finding out what their day is going to hold.

Don’t Tell The Bride – which started on BBC Three in 2007 – has seen some hilariously memorable episodes – including a ceremony which included an alien autopsy and a dress which was ripped to shreds.

Another episode saw a groom hacking at his bride-to-be’s £75 wedding dress with a pair of scissors to make sure it didn’t swamp her.

While one poor woman had her wedding turned into a Roman BATTLE ground, leaving her devastated.

When The Sun Online approached Channel 4 they confirmed the series was coming back.

Alex Cooke, the CEO of Renegade Pictures said: “We love making Don’t Tell The Bride and we’re very pleased that it has a perfect new home on E4.”
