Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid hailed a ‘credit’ to journalism for her ‘sensitive’ interview style after Manchester terror attacks
The mum-of-three was praised for her compassion and understanding on the ITV show
SUSANNA Reid has been hailed a "credit" to journalism for her "compassionate" coverage of the Manchester terror attacks on Good Morning Britain.
Fans of the ITV breakfast show today took to Twitter to praise her interview style after she spoke to Kim and Phil, a Bradford couple who helped bring youngsters to safety after the Manchester Arena bomb on Monday night.
Police have confirmed 22 people were tragically killed in the incident at Ariana Grande's sell-out gig.
Mum-of-three Susanna choked back the tears as she praised the actions of the grandparents, who took care of a 14-year-old while waiting for their relatives in the venue's foyer.
She later bit her lip while discussing terrorism: "It takes some depraved form of brainwashing to think these young people are evil."
Yesterday, the GMB camera panned away from the presenter as she dabbed away tears during an emotional interview with mum Charlotte Campbell - whose daughter Olivia, 15, has since been confirmed as another of those killed by the bomber.
Fans took to Twitter to heap praise on the TV star with one posting: "Wonderfully handled this morning a credit to your profession."
Another added: "Susanna you are so compassionate and that is so good to see and carry on being emotional you are human and it DOES help families xxxxx."
A third put: "Well done don't know how you kept it together then, your voice shaking set off my tears," while a fourth put: "So heart breaking to watch, I hope your ok I can hear your struggling just like many of us."
Another gushed: "Wow that last interview so emotional and well done for getting through that. Your emotions there for all to see."
