Who is Kristina Tholstrup?
Kristina Tholstrup, also known as Kiki, is a Swedish-born Danish socialite.
Born in 1941, Kristina has been married three times – with her two previous husbands before Roger being Swedish tycoons who passed away.
As a result, the socialite inherited a fortune that surpasses even Sir Roger’s.
She also landed a further £10million from the Daily Mail after winning a libel case over a diary piece that speculated and inferred that Kristina as the mistress of a Playboy in the French Riviera in her youth.
The accusations were proven to be completely false and defamatory.
In 1999, she was reportedly put off driving for life after being hit by a drunk driver.
How did Sir Roger Moore meet Kristina?
Before becoming a couple, Kristina and Roger had a close relationship – which put a dent in his marriage and her friendship to Moore’s third wife, Luisa Mattioli.
Roger and Luisa split in 1993, but they reconnected after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer and he “reassessed” his relationships.
However, the issue between the three remained and finally, in 2000, Luisa and Roger divorced for good.
Roger then married Kristina in 2002, and the pair remained together from that point forward.
He later described their marriage as a “tranquil” one and described Kristina as his “soul mate” after a colourful relationship history has seen him married four times.
Speaking about his wife, he gushed: “I knew that this wonderful woman could make me live again and would bring the happiest years of my life.
“It’s a tranquil relationship and there are no arguments. I leave a life of bliss.”
Do they have any children?
The pair did not have children together but had four children combined from previous marriages.
Kristina had one daughter, Christina Knudsen, who tragically died last year at the age of 47 after a battle with cancer.
Roger had two sons – Christian and Geoffrey Robert Moore – and one daughter, Deborah.
When did Sir Roger Moore die?
Roger Moore passed away on May 23 2017.
He died in Switzerland at the age of 89 after losing a short battle with cancer.
Posting on his official Twitter account his family said: “With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated.”
