CORONATION Street actress Sally Dynevor has revealed her sheer "shock" at last night's Manchester terror attacks and pleaded for love to conquer hate in an emotional interview on today's Good Morning Britain.
The Lancashire-born actress, who plays Sally Webster on the ITV soap, appeared on the show alongside co-star and on-screen sister Connie Hyde, who plays Gina Seddon, and branded the atrocities at Manchester Arena as "your worst nightmare."
The screen stars were scheduled to appear on the breakfast programme to talk about their joint plotline but instead focused on the coverage of the aftermath of Ariana Grande's gig last night, which saw at least 22 killed in what has now been confirmed as a suicide bombing.
Sally - a mum-of-three - revealed she could well have been one of the parents there if her daughter had had her way.
She told presenters Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid: "I woke up this morning and I couldn't believe it.
"I couldn't believe what had happened, it's awful, it's absolutely terrible.
"We have to think about all the wonderful people and the things they have done.
"Love has to come through this, not hate.
"We have to remember all the good things people have done, and not concentrate on hate."
Talking of her eldest - a pop fan - she added: "She's 13, she would have loved to have got tickets.
"She always says 'why do we never get tickets?'
"It's because I'm not organised enough."

During their chat, things got a little frosty between Connie and Piers as he enforced his bold views and insisted something needed to be done to tackle the terrorist issue head on.
Connie replied: "This is anger - this is what we should not do today."
After Piers insisted it was, she retorted: "For you, maybe."
Earlier in the show, Susanna broke down in tears after her conversation with a panic-stricken mum struggling to contact her daughter following last night's horrific Manchester terror attacks.
The mum-of-three began sobbing on today's programme after her second call with Charlotte Campbell - whose daughter Olivia is missing since attending Ariana Grande's show at the Manchester Arena.
Her raw outburst forced the camera to pan away from the presenters to a still of the missing teenager, as she apologised: "I cannot imagine the agony parents are going through, I'm sorry."
Wiping tears from her eyes, Susanna said: "It doesn't help anyone if I get upset."
Co-host Kate Garraway supportively added: "It's understandable to get upset Susanna, we are all feeling the same way."
Meanwhile presenter Piers Morgan added the mum's turmoil was "heartbreaking."
The aftermath of the pop show saw at least 22 killed in the northern city, in what has now been confirmed as a suicide bombing.
Londoner Susanna's emotion flowed after the show's second call to panic-stricken mum Charlotte.
She had chatted to her about her turmoil earlier in the show, yet in an update, Charlotte revealed she had no further news.
She had, though, learned Olivia was not admitted into any hospitals in the area.
Earlier in the show, Charlotte revealed she phoned her daughter, who went to the concert with her best friend, at 8.30pm yesterday, but has not heard from her since.
Charlotte said: “All I know is she was at the Manchester Arena with her friend watching Ariana Grande and she’s not turned up yet.
“I can’t get through to her. I’ve called the hospitals, I’ve called all the places, the hotels where people say that children have been taken."
She added: “I’ve called the police. There’s no news, I’ve just got to wait. I’m waiting at home just in case she turns up here."
She added: “She was there with her best friend from school. He’s been found, he’s in hospital.
“I don’t know what condition he is in yet. I’ve not spoke to his parent. If anybody sees Olivia, lend her your phone, she knows my number.”
Meanwhile Susanna's co-host Piers was praised for his straight-talking and bold call for action after the tragic attacks, with viewers claiming the presenter was "speaking for all of us."
Piers told the camera: "This is as heinous as it gets.
"We have got to do something," before branding the terrorist as "psychotic".
During the programme he said the "mentality" of the terrorists needed to be tapped into and quizzed Ian-Duncan Smith, insisting: "We can laud the emergency services and of course that's right and proper.
"What people want to know is how are we going to stop this happening again?
Those watching the live updates on last night's horror incident took to Twitter to give the thumbs-up to his candid views.
One wrote: " is speaking for all of us on good morning Britain this morning! ," while another added: "I never thought I'd say this but I agree 100% with what saying we need to take ACTION! "
A third put: "Actually agree with what is saying enough is enough things need to change."
Another emotional telly fan posted: "Piers Morgan on good morning Britain saying that countries finally need to fight back full force against terrorists, I agree with him!" while one followed up with: " raising very good valid points on Good Morning Britain."
One then posted: " Spot on for once on good morning Britain," while another commented: " is speaking for all of us on good morning Britain this morning! ."
