Holly Willoughby blasted by posh neighbours for flying Union flag above her £3 million mansion
The bubbly This Morning presenter and her husband Dan Baldwin have a flagpole at the six-bedroom Edwardian pad... and they're putting it to use
HOLLY Willoughby has been criticised by her posh neighbours for flying the Union flag above her £3 million mansion.
The bubbly This Morning presenter and her husband Dan Baldwin irritated London neighbours by attaching the flag to the flagpole at the six-bedroom Edwardian pad.
One neighbour told : “We don’t hang the Union Jack or St George flag outside our properties, so why should she?
"It’s in one of the most desirable streets, we’re either Conservatives or Liberal Democrats in this area traditionally, not BNP.
“It’s not really becoming of the area. The house is one of the oldest in the neighbourhood, and has a prominent tower.
"It’s never had a Union Jack on it before.”
It is understood that the flagpole was already at the property when Holly and Dan moved in.
Holly and her neighbours haven't always seen eye to eye.
Last year, she and her TV producer husband left neighbours unimpressed over an application to extend their home.
Holly and Dan wanted to add two more bedrooms to their pad but their application was rejected after objection letters were sent to the council.
Neighbours objected to her plans for more sleeping quarters because the house is in a conservation area and they claim the large extension would "compromise the character and appearance of the building".
