The Once Upon a Smile Grand Ball is taking over The Hilton Hotel in Manchester on Saturday – with a number of TV stars due to attend including further Emmerdale talent Matthew Wolfenden and Adam Thomas - while Danny Miller, Kady McDermott, and Emma McVey also attended.
An official statement for the charity explained what funds would be raised for on the big night.
“Annual fundraising ball in aid of charity which provides support to families who have lost a child, or children, that have lost a parent or parents to a long-term or terminal illness,” a statement reads.
Meanwhile the official charity website had further details.
“Once Upon a Smile was founded in 2011, by Daniel Jillings and Danny Miller to provide emotional and practical support to bereaved families after it became apparent that there was a lack of support for families after the death of a loved one,” the website explains.
“Our charity is the only bereavement charity in the UK to offer a variety of support to families through such a difficult time, we understand that families are often left to grieve alone with no, or little support available and this can often have a devastating impact on family life and children,” it adds.
The night of fun came just hours after Gemma shared an incredible Abs flashing selfie on Instagram.
With a delighted look on her face, Gemma captioned the image: “My face says it all! Thank you @upfitnesslive @markbo1989 3.5 weeks down!
“8 weeks to go! I got so chuffed seeing my mini ab definition only to be brought back to reality with evil Steve’s casual comment “yeh, they are definitely under there somewhere. Few more weeks and you’ll see them” #strongwomen #ladieswholift #girlpower”.
