CORONATION Street fans were left horrified this evening as a terrified Bethany Platt ended up STABBING Gary Windass with a shard of glass.
The troubled teenager then ended running away and hiding beneath a bridge in tonight's episode.

It was the day from hell for Bethany (Lucy Fallon), but it hadn't started out that way.
In fact, the teen had planned to go with her mum Sarah (Tina O'Brien) to the wedding fair.
However her vile grooming fiance Nathan Curtis (Chris Harper) had manipulated into staying at the flat and meeting a "pal".

She agreed but was overcome with fear and ended up downing copious volumes of vodka.
Meanwhile Sarah was left fuming after being stood up by her daughter, but began to panic when she couldn't contact her and went around to the salon to see where she was.

Sarah was left petrified when she found her daughter drunk before she passed out on the sofa.
Panicking, she phoned up her boyfriend Gary to help carry Bethany back home.
Once home, Bethany eventually woke up.
Initially she just complained of a headache, but she became incredibly anxious and fearful when she found out that she wasn't at Nathan's house.

And when Sarah and Gary refused to let her leave she became hysterical and began hurling glass and furniture across the room.
Holding a shard of glass out in front of her, Bethany threatened Gary and said that she would use it if she didn't let him through. When he stood firm she lunged at him and stabbed him in the arm before fleeing.

The terrified teen was then seen sitting underneath a bridge with her hands smeared in blood and in despair.
As Bethany had expected, Nathan was furious when he found out that she was gone as he had been planning for her to have sex with another "pal" of his.
In upcoming scenes, Bethany’s mum Sarah will grow so worried about Bethany that she will call the police and beg them for help.
But in a shocking twist the police officer who arrives to speak to the family will be Neil, who raped Bethany as she was manipulated by Nathan into doing his sick bidding.
After he and Nathan manipulate the schoolgirl further to alienate her from her family, Nathan will attempt to force her into a sickening threesome with Neil and another member of their sex gang.
