Gary Barlow shows off his new bleach blonde hairdo as he wows crowd at Manchester date on Take That’s Wonderland tour

GARY Barlow puts his startling new bleach blonde hairdo on full display as he joins Take That for the homecoming Manchester date of their tour.

The singer-songwriter was sporting a gravity-defying bouffant, much more blonde than his usual look, as he channelled 70s glam rock last night.

The 46-year-old pop hunk has admitted the decision to have change of barnet was down to the fact his hair is "departing" rapidly as he ages.

And Gary's enhanced 'do certainly created a striking effect when paired with his studded, illustrated leather jacket and matching studded white trousers.

His bandmates Mark Owen and Howard were dressed the same way as they came out to entertain their Mancunian fans.

Asked why the 90s throwback bleached do was the way forward, Gary confessed last week: "You know what, [my hair is] departing so quickly.

"I thought for the last time, I'm going blonde."

Fans of Take That will remember how blonde Gary has been in the past.

But two decades ago Gary was more likely to gel his hair up into spikes than create a typical crooner quiff.

Take That's Wonderland tour continues in Manchester tonight, with their string of gigs ending in Norwich on June 16th.

Who knows what Gary's hair will do between now and then.
