EastEnders’ Beppe Di Marco actor Michael Greco pictured for the first time as he joins Casualty
Hunky Michael played Walford sleazebag from 1998 until 2002
MICHAEL Greco is to star in Casualty this weekend as a policeman suffering mysterious chest pains.
The former EastEnders actor, who played sleazy Beppe Di Marco between 1998 and 2002, knows a thing or two about heartache, but it seems that this time his character will be on the receiving end.
Michael, 46, will arrive in Holby General as Phil Paterson, a copper called to the Emergency Department to arrest a troublemaker.
But before he has a chance to even get his cuffs out, he's writhing on the floor in agony.
Fans of Michael's old EastEnders character will be pleased to know Phil too is a ladies' man, and there are some flirty scenes between him and stern medic Elle.
Despite Elle is telling him his love of the gym is making him sick, he cheekily tries to ask her out - but an interruption from Connie Beauchamp sets Phil on a whole new path.
Finding out that her young friend Hugo is missing, Phil discharges himself and heads off to find him.
Sadly he collapses again and it's up to Connie to save him - and keep hunky Michael on screens a little bit longer.
Michael announced he was joining Casualty in January, sharing his happy news on Twitter, and praising the show's "incredibly high standards".

Last month Michael split up with Hollyoaks actress Steph Waring, who previously voiced her desire to see him back in Walford.
Speaking to Bang showbiz in December, she said: “I think he should go back to EastEnders.
“I watched it when he was in it years and years ago and I loved watching him on it.
"He's back to work as an actor now and back in the UK, he's been in America for a few years.
"I'm sure it would be lovely to have him in 'Hollyoaks' but I don't actually believe in mixing work with pleasure!"
Michael revealed that he has never been asked to return to the BBC soap, saying: "Well I've never been asked to go back.
"You never say never, never close any doors. Who knows I mean I know so many characters come back to 'EastEnders'."
