When is May v Corbyn Live: The Battle for Number 10 on Channel 4 and Sky and who is hosting the live election special?

The two political heavyweights will go head-to-head in a special one-off event TONIGHT on Bank Holiday Monday

LABOUR and Conservative leaders Jeremy Corbyn and Theresa May will be going head-to-head in a live event screened across two channels ahead of the general election.

So what will they cover? How can you get your voice heard and where can I watch it? Here's everything you need to know...

What will happen during May v Corbyn Live: The Battle for Number 10?

May v Corbyn Live: The Battle for Number 10 will see Jeremy Corbyn and Theresa May represent their respective parties in a televised live Q+A and debate.

The debate will come in three parts - with the two leaders being a designated time to answer questions.

In between each Q+A segment, both will be interviewed by Jeremy Paxman.

Sky News Political Editor Faisal Islam will host the audience Q&A.

The entire event will last for 90 minutes and will be streamed live from Sky's west London studios.

When is May v Corbyn Live: The Battle for Number 10 and how can I watch?

The debate will take place tonight Bank Holiday Monday, May 29, at 8.30pm.

It will be broadcast across Sky News and Channel 4.

If you miss the show, the pair will be seen on the BBC in Question Time Specials presented by David Dimbleby four days later (June 2).

Can I be involved in May v Corbyn Live: The Battle for Number 10?

Yes. The debate will be held in front of a live studio audience and as a result, you are able to apply to be a part of it.

Faisal Islam will help direct questions to the leaders from the audience, so you will be able to put forward your concerns.

When is the UK General Election?

The UK general election will be held on Thursday, June 8.

Theresa announced the decision to go ahead with the election despite it being three years earlier than scheduled.

Anyone over the age of 18, registered to vote and a British citizen are eligible to vote.

Citizens include those from the Republic of Ireland and qualifying Commonwealth states are also able to vote as long as they are currently living in the UK.

British citizens living abroad can apply for an overseas vote.
