First Love Island contestant revealed…after he dumps his girlfriend on WhatsApp to appear on hit dating show
LOVE Island’s first contestant has been revealed as vain muscle man David Lundy.
However, any eligible female contestants may be keen to know the lothario might not be the dreamboat he seems on the surface – as The Sun Online can reveal he DUMPED his girlfriend by text so he could appear on the dating show.
Just months ago David was happily loved up with stunning model Danielle Kedward.
However after being in talks with producers for the ITV2 series, David decided to call time on their romance leaving her heartbroken.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Danielle’s pal said: “It’s come completely out of the blue.
“They were still together yesterday morning. But then David sent her a voice note on WhatsApp to tell her it was over by the afternoon. She’s devastated and feels betrayed.
“They’ve been dating seriously for a couple of months. David was the one who asked Danielle to be his girlfriend and even told her that he loved her.
“He’s been going to auditions and speaking to producers behind her back. It’s awful. The women going on the show should know what he’s really like. It’s absolutely disgusting.”

David works as a personal trainer and model – creating tailored fitness plans for clients.
His social media profiles are full of shots of him working out and staring into mirrors as he flexes his muscles.
An ITV source told The Sun Online: “Although David is in a pool of potential contestants being seen by producers for the show, the select group going into the villa hasn’t yet been decided.
“Decisions on the final line up often aren't made until just days before the islanders enter the villa.”
Bosses have already confirmed that Caroline Flack will be back for round three presenting the dating reality show.
As well as this, a celeb-studded panel will be giving their take on the action in the villa.
They will give their views live on a weekly programme filmed in a UK studio as well as getting the first gossip from Islanders who have been booted out.
The showbiz bunch – who will be familiar faces to viewers – will grill the contestants while Caroline will jet off and be on-location to surprise the TV stars.
