Towie’s James ‘Arg’ Argent signs up for Celebs Go Dating following return from rehab
JAMES ‘Arg’ Argent is making reality TV comeback by signing up for the new series of Celebs Go Dating.
The Towie veteran, 29, hopes to follow in the footsteps of close pal Joey Essex and find romance on the show – now his on-off relationship with childhood sweetheart and co-star Lydia Bright is officially over.
His appearance on the popular series will be his first television outing since he returned from rehab in Thailand earlier this month, where he had spent ten weeks battling his demons.
A source said: “James and his reps think Celebs Go Dating has come at the right time for him.

“It’s been a long time since Lydia and him parted ways; he is definitely up for finding someone he can be in a relationship with.”
Arg returned from his “life-changing” trip to Thailand with a new slimline figure and increased confidence.
He hoped to make a cameo in the final episode of the recent Towie series but bosses agreed it would be in the best interests of the show and himself if he stayed away.
Arg’s career has been dogged by personal problems ever since he was suspended by Towie for testing positive for cocaine in 2014 which triggered his first stint in rehab the following year.
Despite his absence from the recent series his name has cropped up, after Gemma Collins revealed they had a secret fling on the same Marbella holiday in which he bedded ex-girlfriend Lydia.
The pair finally called quits on their rocky relationship, with Lydia referring to their last moment of passion as a “mistake.”
Arg isn’t the only Towie star confirmed for the new Celebs Go Dating series after The Sun’s Bizarre column revealed Bobby Norris is also set to take part.
Bobby will be the first ever gay contestant on the reality show, signing up after briefly appearing on the last series.
