Who is Tina Hobley? What’s her background?

Tina Hobley is an actress most famous for her work on Holby City.

She was born on May 20 1971 and studied at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art from 1990 to 1993 and went on to land a role on Coronation Street as Samantha Failsworth.

The star also bagged parts on Harbour Lights and The Bill.

Who did Tina Hobley play on Holby City?

Tina started her role as Chrisse Williams on Holby City in 2001.

She played the ward sister on the BBC medical drama for 12 years, eventually leaving the show in November 2013.

The character believed she was the daughter of Chief Executive Officer Mark Williams, and former staff nurse Tricia Williams.

But she was actually the biological daughter of Frank Williams, Mark Williams’ father, who raped her mother.

What happened after Tina’s accident on The Jump?

Tina was forced to withdraw from the 2016 series of Channel 4’s The Jump after she dislocated her elbow and ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) while training for the ski jump.

Her elbow came out of its socket and her arm was broken in two places as she had torn her rotator cuff in her shoulders and also had full rupture of her ACL in her knee.

In a interview with the , Tina revealed she is still feeling the effects of her crash as she wrote: “I am still having physio and don’t know when I will be back to how I was.

“It’s changed how I feel because I was always a bit of a daredevil, but that has gone.

“My physio said just one of these injuries would have been one of the most serious seen on the show. But to have all of them was unprecedented.”

Speaking on Loose Women recently she spoke of the impact on the her children: “It was hard for them. There were really low times. I think the lowest was when I couldn’t brush my teeth or put my shoes on because both my arms were in a cast.”

“I was on strong painkillers for about six months and my hair started falling out and they [her children] saw that. It was really bad. I was on Tramadol for six months and I had a bad allergy or something to it where your hair starts falling out. I think it was the stress.”

Who is Tina Hobley married to?

Tina married graphic designer Steve Wallington in 1998 and the pair welcomed their daughter Isabella “Bella” in April 1999.

The pair divorced in 2001 before Tina went on to get married to Oliver Wheeler in 2006.

She gave birth to their daughter Olivia in April 2008 and their son Orson in March 2010.
