Emmerdale’s Rhona Goskirk loses son Leo after Marlon Dingle discovers she is back on drugs
The vet relapsed after her ordeal at the hands of evil husband Pierce, and now her life is set to get even worse with the loss of her son
RHONA Goskirk has lost her son Leo after slipping back into drug addiction in Emmerdale.
The vet - who is played by actress Zoe Henry in the ITV soap - turned back to painkillers to cope after she was viciously raped by husband Pierce Harris on her wedding day but now her secret has been exposed and Leo's dad Marlon has taken him away from her.
Having been caught with pills by Marlon and Vanessa, chef Marlon told Rhona decided he had to keep Leo away from Rhona until she was off the drugs - not knowing why she was back on them in the first place.
Yesterday, Rhona sobbed and revealed to a shocked Vanessa how Pierce had violated her, saying: "He raped me.
"I thought I could just come home and carry on because that person wasn't me," she explained.
After revealing her ordeal to Vanessa, Rhona took a handful of pills
"I can see it, the thing that happened, him on top of me, it's like I'm watching it like I'm not there. I was so worried about my beautiful dress, scared about ripping it. I'd been so careful with it all day. He ruined it all.
"All the promises we'd made. I tried so hard to be good enough for him. I knew he was jealous but I thought that marriage would fix it. He was jealous of everyone."
"He was worse with people I had a history with. With you, and with Paddy," she added breaking down.

"Pierce found out that I kissed him. It was nothing, we were both so drunk and it was the anniversary of Tess dying. Pierce overheard me and Paddy talking about it, and he never said a word.
"Just a decided we had to move away and kept it to himself, saved it for the wedding. He wanted to punish me. I thought we would be so happy but it's gone everything's gone.
"I wake up in the mornings and I'm not me because I wouldn't let that happen. Being held down, forced and not by some stranger in an alleyway but by my husband who is supposed to love me. How could he do that, I don't understand it?"
Breaking down completely Rhona opened up about all of Pierce's controlling behaviour and finally let it out.
"You are not a victim," Vanessa told her.
"I was raped Vanessa so that is exactly what I am," Rhona said before revealing she had gone to the police and had all the evidence collected.
"I left straight after, the way the woman looked at me afterwards like I was a pitiful mess. I never told them who it was. On my wedding day, in my home, while my guests were drinking champagne.
"I don't care as long as I never see him again."
But as Vanessa set off to confront Pierce over what he had done, Rhona chased after her and begged her not to.
The two friends reunited with Vanessa telling Rhona that Pierce would never be able to break her completely because she's too amazing and strong.
But after Vanessa left, Rhona reached for a bottle of pills and swallowed a handful, her addiction back in full swing.
