EMMERDALE'S Victoria Sugden was left in tears tonight when she dumped husband Adam Barton after finding out about his kiss with Vanessa Woodfield.

Conniving Emma Barton left an anonymous note for Victoria telling her that her husband hasn't been faithful and naturally she hits the roof.

Adam’s relationship with Victoria has been under serious strain ever since their fertility test results went badly.

Adam decided to seek comfort with Vanessa, drinking and playing video games in an effort to feel better.

With his marriage crumbling, he ended up making a move and leaning in for a kiss with his ex.

They had been getting back on track and moving forward with plans to adopt a baby but it all came crumbling down when Vanessa discovered what Adam had been up to.

As she confronted Adam, a devastated Victoria broke down in tears telling him: "We sat there in that meeting and you held my hand while we talked about adopting a baby.

"Last night we slept together. I thought we were happy, it's gonna be me and you forever.

"You have broken my heart for the last time, we're done. We're over," she added.

Adam tried to get her to change her mind but she told him: "We're over, Adam, for good this time. I can't do this anymore."

Adam then sat in the pub with Vanessa as they tried to figure out who sent the note.

He thought his mother Moira might have penned it after she was disgusted to find out he had kissed Vanessa.

But she denied it saying: "I might have been angry and I might disapprove, but I'd never be so two-faced."

Moira then figured out it was Emma, who is set to meat a grisly end in the coming weeks, but Adam still didn't forgive her.

He told his mum: "Vic's in there heartbroken over some stupid kiss that meant nothing. I swear to you, if I lose her over this, you'll lose me."

Will Adam and Vic patch things up or is this the end for another Emmerdale couple?
