Eurovision 2017 semi-final 1 results revealed as the first 10 acts are confirmed for the final

THE first ten finalists for this year's Eurovision Song Contest have been revealed.

Moldova, Azerbaijan and Greece were announced first as winning one of the ten places in the grand final from the first semi in Kiev, Ukraine with Sweden, Portugal, Poland and Armenia following shortly after.

Australia qualified for their third annual Eurovision final alongside Cyprus and Belgium joining as the last announced act through to Saturday's grand finale.

The show kicked off in spectacular style in Kiev in Ukraine with 18 stunning performances and one act appearing to be set on FIRE.

Georgia's song contest hopeful Tamara Gachechiladze appeared to be set on FIRE during the first semi-final for the competition in Kiev.

Pictures of her performance appeared to show her set on fire as she sang her song Keep the Faith with viewers concerned she had been set alight by the pyrotechnics.

The performance saw huge pyrotechnics engulf the stage as she belted out the song and viewers flocked to social media to check she was OK.

"Tamara's on fire!" wrote a viewer on Twitter while another added: "Her dress is on fire!"

Sweden's Robin Bengtsson was first up with I Can't Go On which saw him take to the stage with four dancers on treadmills just before Tamara's performance.

Australia were third for their third try at the competition from across the world with X Factor Oz winner Isaiah with Don't Come Easy thrilling the crowd as he sang in front of his own picture.

Fourth to perform was Albania's Lindita, who Mel Giedroyc revealed had stood her up for a planned meeting.

The former Great British Bake Off host made the hilarious comments during her commentating job on BBC Four.

She said: "She didn't turn up. She left me hanging. Too busy in the gym or making bridalwear no doubt.

"She eats a lot of eggs. I hope she counterbalances that with a prune or something."

Lindita's song, World, saw her take to the stage in a wedding dress as she sang her heart out.

Sultry siren Blanche from Belgium had the crown roaring in their seats with her entry City of Lights but her understated performance was nothing compared to the act who followed her.

Montenegro's Stavko Kalezic began his performance wearing a shiny skirt and a skintight sheer top.

It didn't take him long to flip his five-foot long detachable ponytail around the stage and back while singing his song Space.

In total contrast to the upbeast song, singing duo Lasse Piirainen and Leena Tirronen performed next as Norma John singing their song Blackbird.

Ultra-modern act DiHaj took to the stage after with her song Skeletons to represent Azerbaijan.

She performed in front of a blackboard scrawled with words like "lungs" and "ready", while standing next to a man with a horse's head balanced on a ladder.

Portugal's Salvador Sobral performed the only song in the first semi not to be in English, and won roars of support for his song Amar Pelos Dois.

Greece's Demy ratcheted up the beat again with her spectacular performance of This is Love.

Stunning visuals and just two dancers  joined her on the stage as she sang for her country before Kasia Mos took over for Poland.

Joined by just a violinist, Kasia's powerful voice filled the stadium in Kiev as she performed Flashlight in hopes of advancing to the final.

Moldova's Sunstroke Project followed with their song Hey, Mamma! which saw three brides and three singers perform on the stage in inventive fashion.

Iceland's Svala was next with her song Paper, before the Czech Republic's Martina Barta stormed the stage with her song My Turn and an outfit described by Scott Mills as "1983".

The singer's performance was backed by a series of videos of people in their underwear, dancing and wrestling.

In contrast Cyprus' entrant Hovig only went without socks for his performance of song Gravity which was swiftly followed by special effects packed Armenia's act Artsvik with her song Fly with Me.

Slovenia were the penultimate country to take to the stage with their act Omar Naber with On My Way, while Latvia wrapped up proceedings with Triana Park and their entry Line.

The second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 takes place on Thursday, with the grand final on Saturday night.
