Who are TLC, when is the comeback album out and what happened to Lisa ‘Left Eye’ Lopes?
ICONIC R&B group TLC are on the comeback trail after an extended absence following the death of Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes.
But when is the new album out, and are they going on tour in the UK? Here's all you need to know...
Who are TLC?
TLC are a US R&B group consisting of Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas.
Former member Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopes tragically died in April 2002 due to a road accident.
Rising to fame in 1992, the original trio instantly made a huge impact with their mix of innovative production, trademark vocals and louder than life fashion style.
Their biggest hits include No Scrubs, Waterfalls, Creep and Unpretty.
TLC have sold over 65 million records worldwide and is the second best-selling girl group in history after the Spice Girls.
When is TLC's comeback album due out?
TLC's fifth - and final - studio album was released on June 30.
They crowdfunded the money needed to produce the album as this gave them more creative control than signing with a major record label.
However, the album was originally expected to arrive in 2015.
After asking fans to help with naming the album, it was announced it shall be self-titled and the first single, Way Back, was released in March 2017 and features rap icon Snoop Dogg.
Is it really TLC's last album?
Unfortunately for TLC fans, when T-Boz and Chilli announced they were going to release another album, they also confirmed it would be their last.
Speaking on their Kickstarter page, TLC said: "This album, our final album, is dedicated to all of you that have stuck with us, always challenging us to do our best.
"And of course, it's for the new fans too! We just want to put out great music that touches everyone. That's it."
What happened to Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes?
In 2002, Lopes was killed in a car accident while she was on a retreat with her sisters and friends in Honduras.
She was said to have swerved to avoid hitting a truck and the vehicle ended up rolling several times before hitting a tree.
Lisa died instantly from neck injuries and severe head trauma, and was the only person in the car to die in the accident.
Thousands of people attended her funeral in Georgia on May 2, 2002.
