Inbetweeners star Joe Thomas hints cast could return as ADULTS in new series on their hopeless quest to find girls
THREE years since we last saw The Inbetweeners on their hopeless quest to find girls, flirting with grannies and harming fish, the Pussay Patrol could finally be back up and running.
Back in 2014 the show’s cast did what they dubbed their “final ever” interview in Bizarre, and were adamant it was over for good.
But now star JOE THOMAS has revealed the four “fwends” may return for a new series — only this time as adults.
The actor, who played bumbling teen Simon Cooper in the E4 sitcom, hopes the reboot would follow the hapless students as they grow old, get married and have kids, which definitely sounds like an Inbetweeners-style recipe for disaster.
In an exclusive interview, he said: “I think that we are definitely too old now to do anything that is set in a sixth form.
“If it’s the case that you want to do a show about some sixth formers then obviously we can’t be involved in that, with the best will in the world.
“But we could do the originals ten years down the line, married with kids. I mean, we can do that now. I would jump at any chance to work with those guys again — in any context, really.”

He added: “It’s not in my hands but I love those guys and I would love to work with them again.
“We have spoken about it but it’s not really in our hands. We don’t write the show so it’s not down to us.”
Joe and his co-stars SIMON BIRD, BLAKE HARRISON and JAMES BUCKLEY — aka Simon, Will, Neil and Jay — waved goodbye to Rudge Park Comprehensive in 2014 after three hilarious TV series, two record-breaking films and plenty of cringe-worthy on-screen antics.
And despite going their separate ways, the lads still see a lot of each other. Far too much, in fact.
Joe, who is working with James on new BBC2 comedy White Gold which begins at the end of this month, said: “I do miss the show but we do get to see each other quite a lot anyway.
“But I suppose I do miss it. It’s been great to work with James again — he’s a really good friend.
“Of course his penis was in White Gold, too.
“His penis has been in other stuff as well — I’m honestly bored of seeing it.”
With an Inbetweeners reunion on the horizon, he had better get used to it.
Euro Lucie riding wave of positivity
THE last time the UK won Eurovision was in 1997 with KATRINA AND THE WAVES.
But this year’s entrant, X Factor’s LUCIE JONES, thinks she could be the one to bring the trophy home for the first time in 20 years.
Yesterday in Kiev, Lucie, said: “Being here and the reaction to what we’ve put together and worked really hard on – it’s amazing. The one thing that would top being here would be maybe winning.”
An insider poll gave fans a shock as Lucie was placed 2nd to Italy. Fingers crossed.
My Lucy Jones, left, is this year’s Bizarre Eurovision reporter with Lucie in Ukraine.
Lott of costumes
PIXIE LOTT looked like she was ready for bed rather than a raucous club performance on Saturday night.
The star stepped out at London’s Heaven in a red negligee and upped the raunchiness by recruiting topless male models to join her before teaming up with a pair of drag queens.
The racy ensemble was just one of a number of eye-catching outfits.
Pixie also took to the stage in a gold one-piece and earlier made a big entrance at the venue wearing a black leotard and thigh-high boots.
She deserves a good kip after rushing through all those costume changes.
Biz bit
KATIE PRICE has added to her tattoo collection by getting a new inking of a heart blending into a cross on her right arm. The Loose Women regular was at a tattoo parlour while filming her new reality series in Miami.
Harry risks fine
ONCE you’ve dangled from a helicopter on a video shoot, driving a car can get boring.
That’s probably why HARRY STYLES felt the need to have a browse on his phone while taking a cruise around North London.
For once it wasn’t the presence of a mystery girl in the passenger seat that turned heads, but rather whether the ONE DIRECTION star was flouting the law as he slowly moved through traffic.
Harry’s latest slip-up comes after I revealed on Friday that music fans have accused him of ripping off THE BEATLES classic Blackbird on his new solo single Sweet Creature.
But Harry won’t be too worried about a motoring fine.
The latest dent in his estimated £40million fortune is a £6.7million New York pad. Awkwardly, his ex-girlfriend TAYLOR SWIFT lives just a couple of streets away from him in trendy Tribeca.
Bumping into your ex is the last thing you want when you’re popping out for a pint of milk in your pyjamas.
Biz bit
BROOKLYN BECKHAM was spotted out with two girls after partying the night away at London club Toy Room.
The 18-year-old left the hotspot accompanied by the mystery ladies just days after dining with RITA ORA in Notting Hill.
Sofia crazy for Lew
LEWIS HAMILTON already has a long string of celebrity conquests to his name, including NICOLE SCHERZINGER, RIHANNA and KENDALL JENNER.
And now it seems he has officially added model SOFIA RICHIE to his list.
The pair who have been rumoured to be dating since February, were spotted looking very cosy together at The Beverly Hills Hotel.
A source said: “Lewis was sat poolside with Sofia and it looked like they were on a romantic date.
“They were chatting for over an hour as they enjoyed some drinks before leaving together.”
Lewis was first rumoured to be dating LIONEL RICHIE’s daughter after they were seen partying together during Paris Fashion Week.
Sofia’s romance with the F1 champ, who is 14 years older than her, heated up after the teen liked a topless picture of Lewis on Instagram.
Bigwig at Jade gig
A TEACHING assistant is on the cusp of making it big in music after a video of her singing Hallelujah with a random busker was watched by 13million people.
The clip of Jade Helliwell singing on a night out in her native Leeds was featured by The Sun online and she has since self-released an EP.
Jonathan Shalit who launched the career of CHARLOTTE CHURCH, went to see her gig at The New Inn, in Leeds, on Friday with a view to potentially signing her up.
Hoping for 'nip slip'
THE last major movie awards in Los Angeles saw the wrong film hailed as the winner of Best Picture – a blunder that will go down in Oscars history.
But actor ADAM DEVINE was hoping for similar disasters before hosting last night’s MTV Movie & TV Awards, which airs on MTV at 8pm tonight.
He said: “I want there to be mistakes. I want funny mess-ups to happen because that’s what is so exciting about watching live TV. These guys could screw up, there could be a nip slip. Who knows, possibly mine.”
Doubt that the stars on the red carpet were feeling the same way.
