Riverdale’s Jason Blossom’s killer finally revealed and they’re VERY close to home
The murder of Jason has now been solved, but what other mysteries has the chilling revelation of who killed him opened up?
RIVERDALE fans have had their minds blown as the penultimate episode of series one has revealed the shocking truth about who murdered Jason Blossom on July 11th.
After twelve episodes, the many theories that have surrounded Jason's grisly killing in the mystery series, inspired by the Archie comics, were put to bed and the chilling truth emerged.
Betty, Archie and Jughead's search for the answer to this particular mystery ended in a very unexpected place, as it was revealed that Jason's own father Clifford Blossom had done the deed.
At the end of the episode Cliff was found hanging dead in a barn, presumably after committing suicide to escape the ramifications of his crime.
His motive seems to have involved Jason's relationship with high school sweetheart Polly, which was strongly opposed by their families, the Coopers and the Blossoms.
Their objection to the relationship and Polly's subsequent pregnancy, it turns out, was to do with the fact the pair were secretly blood related, making their romance incestuous.

However, the full explanation for the killing us yet to be unpacked, and further troubling mysteries remain for the thirteenth and final episode to unfold.
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has said that this is not the last time we will see Jason in the drama, despite the fact he's dead — and added that Jason's twin sister Cheryl is heading for a dark place in the final installment.
He said: "Cheryl has a shocking story in the finale, probably even darker than Clifford killing Jason.
"I think for Polly, it's like where does she go?" he went on. "She has the answer to a question she's been asking. Now that that question's been answered, does she stay with the Coopers?
"Is that where she wants to have and raise her baby? It's a question we're exploring for sure."
Riverdale concludes with its final episode The Sweet Hereafter on May 11, with UK viewing available on Netflix.
