Where is the I’m A Celebrity 2017 jungle and was the Australia filming location the same as the previous series?
COUNTLESS stars have left their mansions and PAs behind and headed for the Australian jungle over the years.
Campmates have battled to win the reality TV crown by overcoming plenty of gruesome challenges in Queensland, Australia. Here's everything we know about the location...
Where is I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here currently filmed?
Springbrook National Park provides the backdrop to ITV’s I’m A Celeb.
The UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to a group of forested mountain ranges, known as the Scenic Rim.
The ITV series has been shot in Dungay Creek, Queensland since 2003.
There are no less than 12 different dangerous species of snake in Queensland, as well as the potentially fatal funnel webbed arachnids and white-tailed spiders.
What's different about the I'm A Celeb camp in 2017?
The living quarters were updated for the new series and an outdoor bath added for the first time as well as the jungle shower.
TV bosses were keen to encourage more nudity in camp and they hoped the bath would give the stars another chance to strip off.
The tub pumps warm water and can fit two people for an intimate bathing experience.
Campmates had to buddy up with someone to man the pumping system while they sit back and relax.
Matchmaking show execs also introduced a secluded romantic love seat on a swing for any jungle lovebirds who want some privacy.
Series producer Oliver Nash said: “The new features to the camp this year will add an interesting new element.
“The bath is an exciting new luxury that will probably be popular with some of the more image conscious so they can get really clean.
“The swing seat would be nice for a couple to sit in and we have some good potential couples coming our way.
“It’s also place to get away from campmates and have a moan about the people who are getting on their nerves. I can imagine Stanley Johnson sitting on his throne putting the world to rights too.”

Why could the I’m a Celebrity set be moved from Springbrook National Park?
I’m a Celeb chiefs have signed a deal to film three more years of the show in the Australian jungle.
This came after landowner Craig Parker threatened to block ITV from using his land anymore — forcing them to consider alternative options.
The Sun on Sunday revealed how Craig “had them over a barrel” when negotiations broke down.
Even though the filming location is fine for now, the reality show may be moved to Kangaroo Island in 2020 when the current ITV contract runs out.
This move would swap the jungle for beaches in the proposed new programme shake-up.
The appeal is in an attempt to boost tourism to South Australia – with the promise of beaches, wild animals and never before seen critters to eat in bushtucker trials.
Where is Kangaroo Island?
Following Tasmania and Melville Island, Kangaroo Island is Australia’s third-largest island.
It is located in South Australia, approximately 70 miles southwest of Adelaide.
Just like Springbrook National Park, the location is the home to hundreds of species of wildlife.
Flinders Chase National Park provides sanctuary to a number of different endangered species, as well as being a picturesque location.
