BRITAIN'S Got Dancing star Julia Carlisle has admitted she 'struggles' to breathe when she's dancing due to the curvature of her spine.
Julia, who is the lead dancer in Just Us, was born with a curved spine due to a medical condition condition scoliosis and is hoping to win the show so she can pay for spinal surgery in America.
The 15-year-old won't be able to dance again if she undergoes the surgery in the UK as it will limit her movement.
Speaking on today's This Morning with Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, Julia admitted she wants to have the surgery because she's in constant pain.
She said: "It does cause quite a bit of pain, dancing distracts from it but it will hurt when I go home.
"And when I dance it gets quite hard to breathe sometimes."
This Morning's resident Dr Zoe then explained the difference between the surgery available to Zoe in the UK and the one in America.

She said: "The difference in the surgery in America there are screws and it's tethered with a chord and bend it back into position."
The surgery in the UK involves putting two titanium rods straight down the spine, meaning she won't be able to dance the same way again.
Julia added: "I would be able to dance but not back flips or anything like that. I wouldn't be able to dance as a career."
When asked how much the operation in America would cost, her mum Kate said: "£78,000 is a conservative estimate".
However, Julia's pals in Just Us have offered to give her the prize money if they win the show.
She explained: "Everyone from the group said they'll give me however much I need to get the surgery."
Julia, 15, said she used to be self-conscious about her back but now wears the same costumes as the other girls.
She said: "I used to always wear tops but I took it off in the audition because this is who I am and I'm proud".
The girls were ecstatic when Alesha Dixon pressed the golden buzzer for them and Julia said they're "working really hard" on their routine for the live finals.
Meanwhile, also on today's show viewers were outraged when a woman revealed she sacked her pregnant bridesmaid as she wanted a child-free wedding.
- This Morning airs weekdays from 10.30am on ITV.
