ALEX Oxlade-Chamberlain admits he can't resist singing along to Zayn Malik's music - even though the former One Direction used to be engaged to his girlfriend Perrie Edwards.
The Arsenal footballer complimented the pop group for their catchy tunes and the impact they've had in the music industry.
Speaking to the , he said: "I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy a bit of One Direction every now and then.
"They've had a few good songs that I can't resist singing along to. They've smashed the scene."
The midfielder is reportedly in line to receive a £100,000-a-week contract extension at The Gunners, following a fine performance in the club's FA Cup triumph over Manchester City.

Little Mix singer Perrie has become a hardcore Arsenal fan since hooking up with the sportsman last year.
During the FA Cup semi final she posed with a special Snapchat lens decorating her face in the club's colours.
The singer wrote that her ex Zayn did end their relationship via text message in her group's 2016 book Our World, despite his claims to the contrary.
She said: "It was horrible, the worst time in my life. A four-year relationship, two year engagement ended by a simple text message. Just like that.
“Even though things in my career were going really well, it was incredibly difficult for me.”
But in an interview with Fade magazine, Zayn previously said: “If you could word it exactly this way, I’d be very appreciative. I have more respect for Perrie than to end anything over text message.
“I love her a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that.
“She knows that, I know that, and the public should know that as well. I don’t want to explain why or what I did, I just want the public to know I didn’t do that.”
