When is Extreme Cake Makers on next and what is it about?
The final installment of Extreme Cake Makers airs on Channel 4 at 5.30pm on May 19 with episode 15.
The series lifts the lid on the successes and failures of a group of elite bakers who try their hand at producing the most jaw-dropping cakes ever.
Unusual and quirky cakes include a life size Shetland pony, a ball gown, a 4ft replica of the Statue of Liberty and an edible Wizard of Oz mural.
Who's taking part in Extreme Cake Makers?
There are a number of cake makers taking part, including: Nastassja from the Indulgent Sugar Plum, Molly from Molly’s Creative Cakes, Phil and Christine from Peboryon, Eloise from The Gourmet Cupcake Company, and Suzanne from The Frostery.
Molly revealed that her favourite commission had been for a Shetland pony cake.
She said: "It was a frame inside – wood, which I built. Stacked loads and loads and loads of cakes, supported from the inside out. Then I sculpted the neck and head with rice crispies, spouted the legs with modelling chocolate then covered everything in sugar paste. Then I textured it to look like fur and airbrushed it."
Meanwhile Phil of Peboryon revealed that his favourite had been a Wallace and Gromit cake.
He revealed: "We got to work with Aardman, we sat down with their design team. A lot of people thought it was designed for us by Aardman – and I thought that was fabulous – the highest compliment you could possibility get!
"It’s so whimsical and fun and just wonderfully Wallace and Gromit. There was something deliciously British about the whole thing!"
