Danny Miller admits that he’s ‘overwhelmed’ after receiving FIFTH best actor Soap Award nomination – but says that it’s a ‘shame’ that Ryan Hawley isn’t nominated too
Ryan, who plays Robert Sugden, has never been nominated for the best actor gong before
DANNY Miller has said that being nominated for a best actor Soap Award gong is "overwhelming" - but admitted it was a "shame" that Ryan Hawley wasn't nominated alongside him.
The actor, who plays Aaron Dingle in Emmerdale, has been nominated for a best actor Soap Award gong for the fifth time.
But his on-screen partner Ryan Hawley, who plays Robert Sugden, has never been nominated for the best actor gong.
Speaking about his nomination, Danny said: "It never stops being overwhelming, regardless of who’s up for it, what year, that they’ve acknowledged the work."
But he added: "It’s a shame that Ryan’s not in there as well, I think."

When Ryan laughed, Danny insisted: "I’m being serious, I wasn’t taking the mick, I think Ryan’s been amazing this year with not just our stories but involved in other people’s stories so it’s a surprise..."
He then joked: "But there can only be three so unlucky!"
Their characters have been involved in a number of hard-hitting storylines over the last year, including the Emmerdale car crash and Aaron's drug abuse in prison.
But their relationship will be truly put to the test next month.
Iain MacLeod teased: "We’ve obviously got big Robert and Aaron stuff coming up – at the end of May there’s a big... hour long episode where their relationship is hanging in the balance."
- Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV at 7pm
