HOLLY Willoughby opened up about an embarrassing moment when her son Harry had a public tempter tantrum.

During a phone-in on This Morning, the star sympathised with a mother who was asking for advice on how to control her daughter during her non-stop temper tantrums.

Mother-of-three Holly admitted: "I had to do it with Harry once in the middle of Marks and Spencer. I wanted to die."

Explaining why it was essential to stand your ground as a parent in that situation, she continued: "It was the worst thing. He just flipped.

"I thought if I take you out or if I cave or if I just give in, I know you are going to do this again and again."

The 36-year-old explained: "I wanted the ground to swallow me up because everyone was looking at me and going, 'Oh, there's that Holly Willoughby, she can't control her kid, she's not a very good mum'.
