Masterchef’s John Torode puts a stop to rumours of a spat with Gregg Wallace and insists they are ‘always friends’
MASTERCHEF host John Torode has put a stop to rumours of a feud with co-host Gregg Wallace, insisting they are "always friends."
The Aussie chef cleared up any suggestion they were enemies behind the scenes of the BBC show on today's Good Morning Britain.
Presenter Susanna Reid asked John whether Gregg was "a friend or foe" to which he instantly replied: "A friend, always a friend."
He added: "We don't hang out because we spend so much time together.
He then quizzed Susanna and co-host Piers Morgan whether they socialised together.
known for their playful banter, Susanna joked: "We do once a year, but it gets very serious."
Earlier in the ITV breakfast programme, their flirty presenting was on full show when Piers quipped he didn't find her a "challenge" to work with.
The ex newspaper man, 52, proceeded to pretend to hit her in a mock show of frustration.

Earlier this month restaurant owner John, 51, maintained his professional relationship on the BBC show with cheeky chap Gregg, who started up his own greengrocers, was just that.
He even lifted the lid on their previous fracas and : “If we do go out for a drink, I’ll invariably be at one end of a big old table and he’ll be at the other. Once, we had a bit too much to drink and filming got called off.
“We ended up having a massive fight about one of the contestants, and he got really stubborn – it was ridiculous.
“We’ve had a couple of standoffs over the years, about contestants, and I’ve just had to walk away from him."
