RYLAN Clark-Neal has quit Twitter after facing a major backlash from The Chase fans over his new quiz Babushka.
The new show has taken over The Chase's slot on ITV while it is on a break, and devoted viewers have bombarded Rylan with unhappy comments.
Rylan has been subjected to a stream of moaning messages from The Chase fans since it weas announced that Babushka would be airing in the show's place from the begining of next month.
The TV star has now branded the furore "ridiculous" and stepped away from social media.
In a post on Twitter, he confirmed he would be taking a break from his account.

He wrote: "Getting a bit ridiculous now. Just doing my job. Enjoy the show. Coming off here for a while."
His account has now been taken offline.
Rylan previously referenced the row over The Chase by posting a meme on Twitter, which showed him looking emotional with the caption: "When the chase always has a break EVERY SINGLE YEAR but people still be like..."
Rylan's new show, which features contestants searching through Russian dolls to win cash, is being trial from May 1, but The Chase viewers bombarded its host with their gripes about The Chase's break.
One wrote: "#babushka and @RylanOfficial will be truly awful. Not watching this rubbish. I demand that you bring back #thechase immediately @ITV."
Another added: "Wtf!? No..... NNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
"My general knowledge is gonna be s*** for that month #TheChase #ButWhy #NoOffenceRylan."
