Flustered Alex Jones makes Jurassic Park blunder while interviewing Chris Pratt on The One Show
The new mother feared a backlash from Jurassic World obsessives for her error
ALEX Jones risked attracting the wrath of obsessive Jurassic Park fans after she fluffed the forthcoming Jurassic World title during a chat with star Chris Pratt.
The 40-year-old new mother was interviewing Chris, 37, and 66-year-old Kurt Russell for their new film, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, on The One Show on Tuesday.
Moving conversation on, Alex brought up the topic of Chris’s forthcoming dinosaur action flick – but fluffed the title.
“Now then. Jurassic Park 2 – World!” she said – immediately realising her mistake.
“Oh my gosh, the fans are going to kill me. I am so behind the times!” she laughed.
Defending her mistake, Matt Baker, 39, suggested the birth of her first son in January was keeping Alex busy, saying: “You’ve had enough on your plate.”
Chris starred in 2015’s Jurassic World – a sequel to the Jurassic Park original trilogy – which grossed over £1 billion at the box office.
“So you’re all over the cinema! Jurassic World 2. Fill us in. Go on, Chris!” Alex said.
“You wanna know all the details? I signed a non-disclosure agreement, but I don’t care,” Chris joked, leading to laughs from everyone in the studio.
“We’ve been filming it here in London. So Anna and I and Jack, our son, we’ve all been out here. We’re about half way through,” he revealed.
Alex then tried her hand at some impromptu comedy.
“Have we got time for a dinosaur joke? No, I won’t do it. I won’t threaten it. Ok, alright. What do you call a one eyed dinosaur?” she teased.
With Chris and Kurt both stumped for the answer, Alex then covered her mouth and gasped: “I can’t remember the answer!”
Following more laughter from the audience, she then revealed the answer is, of course: “A Doyouthinkhesarus.”
Chris immediately erupted into excessive laughter – but the joke went down like a lead balloon.
Co-host Matt simply crossed his arms and tried to move on, while Kurt faked falling asleep.
Overall, the Hollywood guests proved to be a hit with viewers – who took to social media to gush about their appearance.
“Loving @prattprattpratt and Kurt Russell on #TheOneShow, they need their own chat show, so funny,” gushed one viewer on Twitter.
“Most entertaining #TheOneShow for ages, great guests,” another wrote.
While a further fan tweeted: “How good were Chris Pratt and Kurt Russell on #OneShow tonight? Seem like real genuine guys. #TheOneShow”.
The One Show airs on BBC One week nights at 7pm.
