HOLLY Willoughby begged Phillip Schofield to bring in his original Gordon The Gopher during This Morning today.
The TV veteran opened up about his days as a kids' TV presenter and Holly made him promise to introduce her to the cuddly critter.
Phil spoke about his time as host of The Broom Cupboard during today's show, and his bubbly co-star asked him to bring his puppet sidekick onto This Morning.
He also revealed the secrets behind the popular children's programme - and he shocked Holly by telling her the puppet was replaced on a regular basis.
Phil said: "It wore out... it had to be replaced."
He went on to reveal the puppets looked "too new" when they were first brought in, so they were passed round the office and workers were encouraged to wipe their "dirty hands" on them.
Phil and Gordon were a popular team on The Broom Cupboard back in the 1980s.
He presented the kids' show from 1985 until 1987, but in 1988, Gordon and Phil were replaced by Edd the Duck and Andy Crane.
