Stephanie Davis admits she understands why the public thinks her relationship with Jeremy McConnell ‘is a joke’
Celebrity Big Brother star told the nation the truth about her relationship with Jeremy McConnell and his rehab stint
STEPHANIE Davis has admitted that she can understand why the public think her relationship with Jeremy McConnell is "a joke".
The former Hollyoaks actress - who was sacked for turning up to work drunk - today took a seat on the famous This Morning sofa with her infant son, Caben-Albi.
The 24-year-old's appearance comes weeks after Jeremy was admitted to an Irish rehab centre to battle his drink, drug and family bereavement demons.
Steph has been very vocal about how proud she is of her male model baby daddy taking steps to conquer his problems for the sake of his little family.
She said: "Looking back now it's been so up and down I can see why people think we are a joke.
"It's made me learn a lot of lessons, but also this was going on that no one knew about."
Philip coyly added: "He is being cared for to help rid him of his demons."
Steph replied: "It's hard for everyone to listen to after everything that happened.
"We haven't helped ourselves. Jeremy has finally admitted he does need help for that and I cried for hours.

"I was watching the man I loved killing himself in front of me."
Steph then confirmed they are back together, describing him as "the love of my life."
She added: "People with addiction it's either everything's great or I want to die.
"I love him and he's doing the right thing now. I agree with everyone who says I'm bored of seeing it [their relationship in the press]."
Philip probed: "I know you were cross with me about the letter and I looked in
"I thought you were a bit bias. You know what it's like to be a mum and I didn't think anyone was sticking up for me.
"It was out of order. At the time I was so angry as I carried a baby on my own for nine months. I knew Jeremy was the father. I didn't want Caben to grow up thinking his father didn't want to know him."
Steph was pictured arriving at the ITV studios in a chic monochrome ensemble, flashing the promise ring that Jeremy gave her.
Steph's appearance on the ITV daytime show comes just three months after Jeremy took a DNA swab live on air as he desperately tried to find out if he is the father of Stephanie Davis' baby.
The former Celebrity Big Brother star joined hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on the show to discuss his ongoing paternity battle with his then-ex- who gave birth to Caben-Albi in January.The pair initially split up last year after a row at a nightclub in Basingstoke on April 29. This was the last time Jeremy and Stephanie saw one another until January this year.
Steph told Jeremy that she was pregnant a month after their bitter split at the end of April 2016.
Jeremy claims that during their many splits, Stephanie would contact him to gloat about spending time and sleeping with other men - and admits that he also behaved badly.
Speaking to the hosts, Jeremy said: "I’ve never once said I wasn’t the father, I’m not fame hungry.
"I want to set the record straight, I just said there was a month from April to May I didn’t know about and I want reassurance.
"When she makes it public it has to be dealt with, I have to defend myself.
";I hope I am the dad, people are thinking that I’m a bad person, thinking I won’t step up and I would.
"I want to be a dad I want to stand up [and be there] but I’m not being given the opportunity."
Steph issued Jeremy with an iron clad legal document to stop him talking about the outcome of any DNA test, which Phillip told Jeremy he shouldn't sign .
Holly started off by saying: "This is tricky because we have seen this contract and we can’t discuss it because of the terms of the contract."
Phillip - clearly horrified - added: "The contract says we can’t discuss the contract. So we can’t discuss that.
"What I can say, and we have looked at this professionally as a team, what we can say is that the word we would use for that contract, if it were me, and I wouldn’t sign it, is unreasonable.
"Because the terms of that contract in my eyes and in terms of our legal team here and the people that we’ve discussed it with, it has an impact on your entire life."
Philip previously slammed the very public nature of the couple's relationship, and last March he hit the roof when finding out they had had another public split just weeks after getting together while on CBB.
He fumed: "They've split? No! Tell me they did it discreetly and didn't tweet.
"I'd rather get down on the floor and share a bone with Clover [the dog]. I couldn't care less.
"She is a sweet girl and he came on the show and was lovely. I loved them both on Big Brother. But on Twitter, I don't care. Keep it to yourself."
