When is the Royal Variety Performance 2017 on TV?

The Royal Variety Performance 2017 took place on Friday, November 24 at the London Palladium Theatre.

The show will be televised tonight (December 19) on ITV at 7.30pm.

It goes head-to-head with Holby City on BBC One, MasterChef: The Professionals on BBC Two, Jamie's Italian Christmas on Channel 4 and Jo Brand's Cats & Kittens on Channel 5.

The Palladium has been home to the Royal Variety Performance more than any other venue, hosting the gala 40 times over the decades.

Who is hosting the Royal Variety Performance 2017?

Miranda Hart is hosting the Royal Variety Performance this year.

Britain's Got Talent judge and comedian David Walliams presided over the gala last year, and previous hosts have included Brian Conley, Michael McIntyre and Peter Kay.

How much were tickets to the Royal Variety Performance?

Tickets were only available through the official Royal Variety Performance website, but standard tickets for the show sold out quickly.

Combined tickets for the show and aftershow which was held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London's Park Lane were also available.

The tickets cost £245 with proceeds going to the Royal Variety Charity.

Tickets to the aftershow party and banquet cost £185.
