Britain’s Got Talent’s Just Us golden buzzer dancer Julia Carlile hopes the show will help fund her operation for Scoliosis
The teenager who wowed millions during her routine with group Just Us is hopeful the show could help her get the treatment she needs
JULIA Carlile and her group Just Us were put straight through to the finals of Britain’s Got Talent after Alesha Dixon pressed her golden buzzer for the mesmerising dancers.
Now, 15-year-old Julia hopes the £250,000 prize could help her get the life-changing surgery she needs.
Julia was born with a curved spine due to a medical condition condition scoliosis.
Speaking ahead of the show, Julia said: “If we win I’d hope to fly to America, where I can get another kind of operation – called tethering surgery – that means I could dance for the rest of my life.
“It’s expensive, though, so I can’t afford it right now. We have saved £4,000 and we need $100,000 [just over £78,000].”
The group of girls revealed they first formed two years ago and that being on Britain’s Got Talent was their dream.
They told the judges: "We met at dancing because we’ve been dancing together since about 5.
Julia said: "I have scoliosis, but what I have is very rare because you usually get it from an accident but I was born with it. So I have to have an operation and after that I won’t be able to dance again."
As the troupe began their routine, the judges were immediately mesmerised by the emotive gymnastic routine.

The girls danced to Fight Song by Rachel Platten and the crowd clapped along in support of the girls.
The troupe received a standing ovation which left them on the verge of tease while the judges sang their praises.
Alesha was particularly moved as she said through tears: "I have so much admiration for you girls right now. I can’t tell you. Just seeing how you've all come together with this beautiful friendship you've got. When you’re passionate about something I could not image not being able to do it again.
"That's what we all live for. It has really touched me, so much so that I'm going to do this."
She then proceeded to press her Golden Buzzer leading the girls, her fellow judges and the crowd to erupt with joy.
Alesha went onto the stage to hug the girls as Julia told her: "Thank you, you've made my dreams come true. This is not going to stop me."
