SON HER WAY OUT AGAIN

Sonia Fowler leaves EastEnders after exposing daughter Bex’s vile bullies – but WILL return to Walford later this year

Sonia made a brief return to look after troubled teen Bex and make sure her bullies were punished for their evil behaviour

SONIA Fowler has left EastEnders again after a brief return to put an end to Bex's bullying ordeal.

But fans of the show will be overjoyed to learn that Sonia will return later in 2017 when actress Natalie Cassidy's maternity leave comes to an end.

Fans were devastated by Bex's bullying story line that saw bullies destroy her beloved guitar and trick her into eating cat poo in a long campaign of abuse directed at the troubled teen.

Fortunately it was Sonia to the rescue as she took on vile bullies Louise Mitchell, Alexandra D'Costa and Madison Drake, who had manipulated and bullied Bex for weeks before she put in a desperate call to her mum.

And the nurse left her caring side at home when she threw herself at Bex's former best friend Louise Mitchell in a retaliatory attack when she found out the truth about the bullying, before storming into Bex's school to demand teachers took action against the vile girls.

Madison and Alexandra were left to face the headteacher's wrath while fellow bully Louise was left out of it following a desperate plea from Bex, who wanted to cut her old friend some slack.

Though Bex and Louise might still need to resolve things after their friendship broke down, Sonia was satisfied the bullying had come to an end.

She returned home to Kettering, where she's been working her dream job for a few months and living with her brother Robbie Jackson, who is also set to return to the show.

Sonia injected some amazing energy into the show in her week-long return and fans took to Twitter to say they will be sad to see her go.

Fortunately they won't have to wait too long to see her again.

Sonia Fowler will be making a full-time return to the popular soap once actress Natalie Cassidy has had her new baby.

  • EastEnders airs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday nights on BBC One
