New EastEnders star Lisa Faulkner admits she’s quit Twitter before cruel trolls attack her appearance on the soap
EASTENDERS newbie Lisa Faulkner has quashed online bullies before they even begin to pipe up - by vowing to delete her Twitter page.
The actress will hits screens as businesswoman Fi Browning in the next few months yet admitted she feared social media as a platform to potentially make "horrible" comments about her soap character.
"It can be lovely and it can be really, really horrible.
"I think people forget you are a real person with feelings, so I will probably stay away from it."
Bubbly Lisa will play ‘stylish, sophisticated’ businesswoman Fi and producers have teased she will have a mysterious agenda.
Talking about stepping foot in Albert Square for the first time, Lisa told the magazine: "I wasn't nervous - I was absolutely terrified!
"I loved EastEnders as a teenager but I hadn't watched it for a long time.
"And then of course I was like 'Oh My God, I'm in the Vic."
Meanwhile Lisa - who is dating Masterchef host John Torode - has given scant details about her character.
On This Morning, host Ruth Langsford quizzed whether she “would be posh” on the BBC show, set in fictional town Walford.
Lisa, who was showing her talents as a chef in the show kitchen, replied: “She speaks like I speak.
“She’s not an EastEnder, but that’s all I can say.”
