Schoolgirl Bethany's ordeal will get even worse as she is manipulated by her vile boyfriend
BETHANY Platt's grooming ordeal will take a dark turn for the worse in Coronation Street when she is raped by Nathan Curtis' sick friend Neil.
Schoolgirl Bethany - played by Lucy Fallon in the ITV soap - will be manipulated into going on a date with her evil boyfriend's pal, but will be taken into the bedroom by possessive Neil as Nathan watches - refusing to help her.
The harrowing ordeal will leave Bethany devastated and unable to understand why Nathan allowed it to happen.
"She does end up with sleeping with Neil and it's more because she is is saying no, I'm not that kind of girl and he just lays her on the bed and then she's crying," actress Lucy revealed of the scene that was difficult to film.
"She goes out for a drink with him and thinks he's really nice, and they come back and then she's sat with Neil and he keeps trying to put her on his knee and she's a bit like, 'Ooh, this is really weird'.
"And then he says let's go into the bedroom. He picks her up and takes her into the bedroom.
"She's looking at Nathan and they've planned that if she feels like she's unsafe or she wants to get away from Neil then she'll rub her ear and as she walks passed [Nathan] she's rubbing her ear but Nathan just turns away from her."
"She's saying no to him, she's saying, 'I've got a boyfriend' but I think that because she's so in love with Nathan she just does what he wants her to do."

"The morning after he says I'll make you some breakfast. She doesn't know whether he knows or not, she's confused. She comes home and he's on the phone to Neil and he says, I know what's happened and you did good. She's really confused."
Actress Lucy also told The Sun Online how difficult she found it to shake off the emotions she had to put herself through while filming the harrowing scenes.
