Viewers couldn't hide their dismay as they are denied their daily dose of the show

THIS Morning viewers were left devastated by the fact the show was replaced by the Columbo films over the bank holiday weekend.

The popular daytime TV programme was taken off the ITV schedule due to the bank holidays on Good Friday and Easter Monday.

Holiday hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes had spent the week covering for regular hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby, but got the chance to rest on Friday.

But Friday saw viewers given the chance to tune in to Columbo: Rest in Peace on Good Friday and Mrs Columbo on Easter Monday.

Fans shared their sorrow at the cancellation as one wrote: "Gutted that @thismorning isn't on this morning. #ThisMorning."
